It will take place in Varese during the week July 10-14, 2023 at the Riemann International School of Mathematics, Università degli Studi dell’Insubria, within the Riemann Prize Week celebrations. The school will culminate on Friday 14th with the Riemann Prize ceremony at the aula magna of the main Rector building in Varese center and the Riemann Lecture by Luigi Ambrosio. IIE-SRF selects outstanding professors, researchers, and public intellectuals for fellowship support and arranges yearlong visiting academic positions with partnering higher education institutions. Since 2002, IIE-SRF has assisted more than1,000 scholars from 62countries, placing them in temporary positions at over 450 host partner institutions in 55countries. *The IIE-SRF Fellowship Package* IIE-SRF fellowships are typically renewable for a second and final year. The full package includes: * · *A fellowship award of up to $25,000.* IIE-SRF sends the fellowship award to the host institution to be disbursed to the scholar as salary/stipend for a one-year period. IIE-SRF operates as a matching-grant model, and the host institution is asked to provide an equal amount of funding in salary/stipend support or other direct benefits, such as housing. * · *A stipend for relocation.* IIE-SRF provides a stipend to all scholars who relocate for their fellowship. Il bando è pubblicato al seguente link: https://www.unipi.it/index.php/opportunita-all-estero/item/25672 <https://www.unipi.it/index.php/opportunita-all-estero/item/25672> Il bando, la cui scadenza è fissata al 10/05/2023, permette l’assegnazione di 22 borse di mobilità, riservate al personale docente, ai ricercatori e al personale T/A dell’Università di Pisa, per lo svolgimento di un periodo di mobilità per insegnamento o per training presso una delle Università partner del suddetto progetto. Le mobilità dovranno concludersi entro e non oltre il 31/07/2023 e prevedono una durata minima di 5 giorni lavorativi (esclusi i giorni di viaggio) all’interno dei quali dovrà essere sviluppato un programma di docenza che preveda un minimo di n. 8 ore di insegnamento oppure un programma di training. I partecipanti riceveranno un contributo alla mobilità che coprirà i costi di viaggio e soggiorno all’estero. Tale contributo deve intendersi come un rimborso per le missioni fuori sede, per cui sarà gestito secondo il vigente regolamento di Ateneo e le nuove modalità informatiche per l’autorizzazione e rimborso delle missioni. Vi chiediamo da una parte di partecipare se interessati e dall’altra di diffondere la notizia sia ai docenti che al personale del vostro Dipartimento (infatti il bando è aperto anche al Personale T/A). Logical Methods in Ramsey Theory and Related Topics July 10 - July 11, 2023, Pisa, Italy https://events.dm.unipi.it/e/ramsey2023pisa Dear all, We are happy to announce that registration for the upcoming event "Logical Methods in Ramsey Theory and Related Topics", which will be held in Pisa (Italy) from July 10th to July 11th, 2023, is now open. REGISTRATION: The deadline for registrations is ***SATURDAY, JUNE 10th***. There is no registration fee, but completing the registration form is mandatory. Students, early career researchers, and participants from disadvantaged countries can apply for support during the registration procedure. Participants traveling with young children can also apply for childcare support. Details for the registration and grant applications can be found on the conference website. The workshop is centered around the interplay between mathematical logic and combinatorics. Its main goals are: * Disseminate information about various logical techniques used in several areas of combinatorics and related topics; * Bring together researchers with different backgrounds, and encourage their collaborations and interactions, especially on topics connecting different areas of mathematics. The covered topics include (but are not limited to): * Nonstandard methods in combinatorics and Ramsey Theory; * Model-theoretical methods in density theory for semigroups; * Reverse mathematics of combinatorial principles; * Set theory and ultrafilter methods; * Computational limits to finite provability and proof complexity; * Quasi-orders and applications. The perturbation of Laplacian with inverse square potential arises, in particular, in the studies of non linear Schrödinger equation. So, in this talk, we want to give an explicit and easy characterization of the domain of the operator A=-Δ+b/|x|^2. Such characterization is also useful to determine the domain of A square in a similar way. The study of these operators gives to us a new proof of weighted perturbed Rellich inequalities. This talk is based on a joint work with V. Georgiev and H. Kubo.
