In Aula Magna ci sono massimo 25 posti e confido che siano sufficienti, chiedo però alle persone interessate di comunicarmi la loro presenza entro lunedì sera (anche perché vorrei usare l'aula lo stesso giorno anche per fare esami). A presto, Bruno ---- Titolo: Infinitesimal Deformations of Hyperbolic Manifolds Abstract: in the last two years, the refinement of a tool due to Jankiewicz - Norin - Wise based on Betsvina - Brady theory led to important results. This work culminated with the amazing example of Italiano - Martelli - Migliorini of a Hyperbolic 5-Manifold M which fibers over S^1. The importance of the existence of such a manifold appears to go far beyond the world of Hyperbolic Manifolds. One interesting aspect of this family of examples is that they can be manipulated combinatorially. This allows us to study the dimension of infinitesimal deformations of the hyperbolic structure of the cover M̃ associated to the map M -> S^1. The complexity of the task, though, required the exploitation of a series of methods to overcome the computational problems. In particular, we will talk about the Groupoid associated with a cube complex and how we used it to obtain the rigidity of M̃.
