-------- Message transféré --------
Dear friends and colleagues,
We are pleased to announce a summer school in University of Nantes, on the topic of Gromov-Witten invariants, which will take place from 11th to 14th of June 2024. The topic is Gromov-Witten invariants, as seen both from algebraic geometric and symplectic topological viewpoints.
The school is aimed at Master students and early PhDs, and mainly revolves around two mini-courses, of 5 hours in total each. One of these is offered by Amanda Hirschi and will describe the definition and use of these invariants in symplectic topology; the other will be given by Jérémy Guéré and will instead focus on the algebraic geometric side of the topic. In addition to the minicourses, there will also be two accompanying talks, to give more details about some symplectic and algebraic aspects.
The schedule is light in order to leave enough time to the participants to discuss and work together over the content of the lectures, and more generally to discover each other's research interests. In particular, besides the planned invited talks, we very much welcome any short contributed talk by those participants who would like to explain their research in the context of this school.
All the information, including the registration form, can be found at: https://fabiogironella.com/events/24_06_summer_school_nantes_gw_invariants/i...https://fabiogironella.com/events/24_06_summer_school_nantes_gw_invariants/main.html
Please forward this announcement to master and PhD students that may be interested in attending our summer school.
Best regards, Fabio Gironella and Stéphane Guillermou (the organizers)
