Dear all,
next week, as part of the Analysis Seminar Series, we will have the pleasure of hosting
Giulia Bevilacqua (Universitŕ Ca' Foscari, Venezia), who will give a
seminar entitled “The incompressible limit in tumor growth models: from Aronson–Bénilan estimate to free boundary regularity.”
The seminar will take place on Thursday, February 19 at 5 pm, in
Sala Riunioni.

Title: The incompressible limit in tumor growth models: from Aronson–Bénilan estimate to free boundary regularity
Abstract: We discuss recent results on incompressible limits and free boundary problems arising in tumor growth modeling. We first revisit classical bounds for the pressure field in the porous medium equation, extending the Aronson-Bénilan estimate. Then, we
focus on the geometric free boundary limit in a specific setting, where the tumor is constrained within a bounded domain, part of which is inaccessible and acts as an obstacle. We investigate the existence of viscosity solutions and analyze the regularity
of the associated free boundary.
This talk is based on two papers obtained, respectively, in collaboration with B. Perthame (LJLL) & M. Schmidtchen (TUM) and M. Carducci (SNS).
