The Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the Faculty of Science has a vacancy for a
Juniorprofessor for “Geometry, in particular algorithmic aspects” (W 1)
to be filled as soon as possible. The candidate should be a well-established researcher having a research profile in the field of geometry and, in particular, its algorithmic aspects. The cooperation in the research focus group “Real Geometry and Algebra” of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics is expected, and a significant connection to the topics of this research group is desirable.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Mathematics and pedagogical abilities. This is a three- years appointment with the possibility of prolongation for three more years.
