Hello,

Hello, I am Kailah Pierre, a student at Upland High School in Upland, California. I am a sophomore enrolled in AP European History.

In our history class, taught by Ms. Marilyn Lubarsky, our first semester final grade is determined by our success in our National History Day project. (nhd.org)

National History Day is a nationwide contest in which students enter their projects and compete at a scholastic level. There are 3 rankings in National History Day, county, state, and nationals. If a student wanted to go to nationals they would need to pour themselves into their work and separate themselves from the competition.

Now my group and I for National History Day, are prepared to accept that challenge. Our category entry is as follows: " Galileo and Copernicus, Leadership in the Scientific Revolution Legacy in Church versus Science Conflict." This will be a documentary. My group and I were wondering if we could interview and record you at some point in time so that we can have some of your quotes in our documentary.

We believe that if we were able to procure a direct quote from someone of your prestige we would be able to make our project go past county. Even if we only make it to county it would still be an excellent addition to our resume. I understand that you may be busy and that your location will not allow a physical interview in which case I would like to thank you for your time, and to also ask another historian, or even scientist if they would be able to spare some time for our interview.
