Post-doc Position at University of Cardiff, School of Mathematics (area Analysis and/or Probability)



Title: Research Associate in Mathematics

Duration: 1 year

Starting date for the position: 1 January 2016


The School of Mathematics is seeking to appoint one post-doctoral Research Associate to work with Dr. Federica Dragoni, Principal Investigator for a new EPSRC research project, 

``Random Perturbation of Ultraparabolic  PDEs Under Rescaling''.


The project requires to combine techniques from analysis, probability and geometry.

Applications are invited from individuals who have a strong background in pure mathematics with emphasis in at least one of the three areas mentioned.

Candidates with experience in the areas of PDEs, Calculus of Variation  or Probability/Stochastic Analysis are preferred.


Candidates should hold a PhD in Mathematics (or have submitted their PhD Thesis before the starting date of the position).


Application should include a Cover letter, CV and a short research statement. 


Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in the week 2-6 November. Skype interview on  earlier or (slightly) late dates will be possible, if candidates are not available during the interview week.
