Applied PDEs in Physics, Biology and Social Sciences: Grants Available!
Senior and emerging researchers interested in areas of applied PDEs such as kinetic theory, transport equations in biology, reaction-diffusion systems, geometric flows, nonlinear conservation laws, fully nonlinear PDEs, multiscale problems, mean-field limits, are invited to apply. Interplay with classical disciplines such as Physic and Engineering as well as "modern" applications to cell and animal biology, physiology, nanotechnologies, traffic flow and pedestrian movement, ecology, sociology, evolution theory, economics and finance will be covered.
The conference is organised by the European Science Foundation (ESF) in partnership with the EMS and ERCOM and it will take place on 2-7 September 2012 at the Centre de Recerca Matemà tica, Bellaterra, Spain.
