Hi everybody,
to the aim of collecting contributions by the several research groups in geometry and related topics, we developed two different tools. They are open to anybody interested in subjects related to geometry, around the world.
- The website "GeCo GeDi" (an Italian acronym for complex and differential geometry): http://gecogedi.dimai.unifi.it/ is meant to efficiently collect announcements of seminars, conferences, open positions, and other news, concerning both geometry and other related topics, in Italy and abroad. It is based on the same software as the website of the research group in calculus of variations and geometric measure theory in Pisa.
- The mailing list "Geometria Globale" (Italian for global geometry): https://lists.math.unifi.it/mailman/listinfo/geometriaglobale is meant for announcements concerning research in geometry. The list and the website are separated (in particular, subscriptions are independent), but directly linked: every friday, an automatic bulletin will report on the scheduled events on the mailing list.
If you want to collaborate, you are invited to: - subscribe to the website (from the link in home page) and to the mailing list; - let us know your comments, both on the project and on possible ideas for further developments. Signal any problem to geometriaglobale-owner@lists.math.unifi.it - contribute actively by sharing information on both channels. Please add any interesting information on GeCo GeDi, and forward announcements of conferences, open positions, and other activities on the mailing list. Please note the functionality "[send by email]" for registered users on the website: it allows to forward newly-created events directly to the mailing list at the address geometriaglobale@lists.math.unifi.it . Please, give us your availability for keeping update the schedule of the seminars of your department. - Finally, publicize the project among your contacts.

Ciao a tutti,
al fine di raccogliere il contributo dei tanti gruppi di ricerca in geometria ed ambiti correlati, abbiamo pensato di realizzare due diversi strumenti.
- Il sito web "GeCo GeDi": http://gecogedi.dimai.unifi.it/ per raccogliere in maniera organica annunci di seminari, conferenze, posizioni aperte, ed altre notizie, nell'ambito della Geometria Complessa e Differenziale (ed argomenti correlati), in Italia o all'estero. E' basato sul software creato dal gruppo di Calcolo delle Variazioni e Teoria Geometrica della Misura di Pisa.
- La mailing list "Geometria Globale": https://lists.math.unifi.it/mailman/listinfo/geometriaglobale per annunci riguardanti la ricerca in Geometria. La mailing list e il sito sono separati (in particolare, sono richieste due iscrizioni distinte), ma direttamente collegati: ogni venerdi', sara' inviato un bollettino automatico di riepilogo sulle novita' e sulle attivita' in programma per la settimana successiva.
Se siete disponibili, potete collaborare nei seguenti modi: - registrandovi al sito (dal link che trovate nella home page) ed alla mailing list; - facendoci sapere i vostri commenti, sul progetto e su possibili idee per ulteriori sviluppi, e segnalandoci eventuali problemi, all'indirizzo geometriaglobale-owner@lists.math.unifi.it; - contribuendo attivamente allo scambio di informazioni tramite i due canali. Vi chiediamo di inserire ogni informazione che ritenete utile su GeCo GeDi, e di inoltrare alla mailing list informazioni su convegni, attivita', ed altre notizie di interesse. Vi facciamo notare la funzionalità "[send by email]" attiva per gli utenti registrati sul sito: tramite essa, potete inoltrare direttamente alla mailing list gli eventi inseriti su GeCo GeDi all'indirizzo geometriaglobale@lists.math.unifi.it . Vi chiediamo inoltre di segnalarci la vostra disponibilita' a mantenere aggiornati gli annunci dei seminari delle vostre sedi locali; - infine, pubblicizzando il progetto ai vostri contatti.
