Presidenza Facoltà SMFN, nell'ambito delle attività del dottorato BIOS, Alberto d'Onofrio (IEO, Milano) terrà un seminario, a cui siete tutti invitati a partecipare, dal titolo :

"BIOLOGICAL OSCILLATIONS: THE CRAZY RHYTHM OF LIFE"

Abstract: We shall illustrate how the main biological rhythms (the cell division cycle and the circadian rhythms) may be described by means of models directly translating the informal language which is typical of biology. These models may be used to perform a new kind of experiment: the "in silico" experiments that have been of help in better understanding the reasons underling some classical "wet" experiments. Many beatiful and funny pictures will be shown.
