The Faculty of Mathematics and Economics at Ulm University invites applications for a Professorship (W3, associate) in "Stochastics" to be filled by 1 October 2018.
Candidates should have an internationally outstanding research and teaching record in Stochastics (Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics) as well as experience in the acquisition of third party funding.
The research focus should be in the area of Stochastics at the interface with Analysis (e.g. Stochastic Partial Differential Equations) with relations to applications in the natural or life sciences or in engineering.
A particular interest in collaborations within the various research areas of Ulm University and with further local research institutions is desired. The teaching includes courses for students in our mathematical and teacher training programmes as well as mathematical courses for students in other study programmes.
Conditions for appointment are a completed course of studies at a university, pedagogical aptitude, doctorate and additional academic qualification (§ 47 LHG).
