The Institute for Mathematical Stochastics at Technical University Braunschweig, Germany, is looking for a
Doctoral Candidate or Postdoctoral Research Associate (m/f/d) in the field of Probability Theory
The position is to be filled on a fixed-term basis for an initial period of 3 years. The position is embedded in the working group of Prof. Sebastian Andres and focuses on questions related to random walks and other stochastic processes in random environment and the associated partial differential differential equations describing the transition probabilities or heat kernels of such processes.
The successful candidate will have a degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Mathematics or a subject requiring substantial mathematical expertise as well as very good knowledge of the German and English language, in particular the ability to teach courses in German, after an initial phase if required.
