Dear all,

together with  Anne Savard and Laurent Clavier we are looking for a PhD student at IMT Lille Douai.
The topic is in information theory, at the intersection between information engineering and mathematics.  More specifically, we are going to look into efficient code design for finite-blocklength coordination from both a practical and theoretical perspective. As the first objective is more engineering-oriented, and the latter is basically large deviations and Neyman-Pearson theory, the main focus will also depend on the candidate’s background. More details in the proposal (attached).

The PhD is supposed to start in September/October 2021, and the application deadline is May 28th.

We would be grateful if you could forward this to potentially interested (master) students.

Best regards

Giulia Cervia
