The  Department is currently considering both traditional open competitions and the direct appointment of individuals currently employed at a foreign academic institution. In the latter case, candidates must have held an equivalent academic position abroad for at least the past three years; a list of academic positions equivalences by country is available at this URL: https://www.mur.gov.it/sites/default/files/2023-07/Decreto%20Ministeriale%20n.%20456%20del%2010-05-2023%20%20-%20TABELLA%20CORRISPONDENZE.pdf

Interested researchers are kindly invited to submit a detailed curriculum vitae, including a complete list of publications, along with a one-page narrative CV encompassing a research statement and a teaching statement, to direzione.dss@uniroma1.it, with the email subject line: DSS call for interest.

A favourable tax regime may apply for several years under Italian laws governing employment appointments for individuals who have been fiscally resident abroad, provided specific requirements are met.

Selected applicants may be contacted with the possibility of visiting the Department and presenting a seminar.

Please note that this is a call for expressions of interest only and not an official job vacancy announcement. Any formal job openings will be advertised separately.

The final deadline for applications is 30 April 2026.

The Department of Statistical Sciences is an equal opportunity employer, committed to promoting high-quality research, seminars, and conference activities.
