We are happy to announce the 17th event in the series “Days in Probability and Statistical Physics”:

A SPRING DAY IN PROBABILITY AND STATISTICAL PHYSICS
8 May 2026
University of Florence, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Viale Morgagni 67/a, Florence

Speakers:

Perla Sousi (University of Cambridge)
will speak on:
The cutoff phenomenon for random walks

Laurent Miclo (Toulouse School of Economics)
will speak on:
On set-valued intertwining duality for Markov processes

Each speaker will give a 45’ introductory lecture tailored for non-experts, followed by a 45’ more advanced seminar talk.

Registration is free but mandatory for organization purposes. Please fill out this form by 3 May at the latest.
