We are glad to announce the event “The Role of Data Science: From Statistical to Quantum and Relativistic Mechanics. A Two-Day Conference in Memory of Francesco Guerra”, which will take place at the Department of Mathematics “Guido Castelnuovo” at Sapienza University of Rome on January 19-20, 2026.

This event is part of the Data Science Semester within the Excellence Program of the Mathematics Department at Sapienza. It will feature both applied and theoretical contributions, reflecting the multifaceted role of data science across diverse areas of modern physics.

The workshop also aims to honor Francesco Guerra’s legacy, with a lineup of speakers reflecting the excellence fostered by his school.

Participation in the event is free of charge but registration is mandatory. The registration form is  available on the workshop webpage, with a deadline December 31, 2025.
