Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the
Workshop On Randomness and Discrete Structures (WORDS 2025)
7-9 April 2025
University of Groningen, the Netherlands
The workshop will explore various topics related to discrete structures and randomness, including but not limited to percolation, random graphs, and stochastic geometry. The program will feature presentations from the 9 keynote speakers below, as well as contributed talks.
- Timothy Budd (Radboud University)
Self-overlapping lattice polygons
- Nicolas Curien (Université Paris-Sud)
Scaling limits of the Luczak-Winkler growth algorithm
- Daniel Dadush (Utrecht University)
Integrality Gaps for Random Integer Programs via Discrepancy
- Zakhar Kabluchko (University of Münster)
TBA
- Júlia Komjáthy (Delft University of Technology)
Schramm's locality conjecture for long range percolation cluster size decay and the locality conjecture
- Irène Marcovici (Université de Rouen Normandie)
A decentralised diagnosis method with probabilistic cellular automata
- Giovanni Peccati (University of Luxembourg)

The registration deadline is February 28, 2025. We encourage junior researchers to propose a contributed talk. For more information and registration, please visit our website: https://sites.google.com/rug.nl/words2025/home
The workshop is supported by the grant "NWO Scientific Meetings and Consultations Domain Science WBO 2024-1".
We look forward to seeing you in Groningen!
