The Department of Mathematics of Utrecht University is looking for an Assistant Professor in Discrete Mathematics. The position carries a load of roughly 50% teaching and 50% research. Your specific areas of interest include, but are not restricted to, combinatorics, graph theory (including random graph theory and graph algorithms), and the mathematical theory of optimisation.
We are looking for a researcher who is eager to play an active role in all aspects of academic life at our department, including in research and teaching. In addition, when you see concrete possibilities to collaborate with researchers from the Department of Mathematics at Eindhoven University of Technology, and/or from the Utrecht Department of Information and Computing Science please include this in your application.
