PHD POSITION IN PROBABILITY AND STATISTICAL MECHANICS AVAILABLE AT SAPIENZA UNIVERSITY OF ROME
A call for applications for a PhD position in Mathematics is open at Sapienza University of Rome. The research areas of the doctoral program are Probability and Statistical Mechanics. Research topics include interacting random walks, random loop models, spin systems, Bose-Einstein condensation. The position is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The research program will be carried on under the supervision of the principal investigator Dr. Lorenzo Taggi. The PhD program offers the opportunity to interact with the international research partners of the DFG priority program “Random Geometric Systems” and with the probability and mathematical physics communities of the three universities in Rome.

Estimated monthly net salary: 1700 euro Starting period: Autumn 2021 Duration: three years
