The event is part of a research activity at Free University of Bozen-Bolzano on the topic of energy economics with Alperia and Europe Energy as sponsor partners, see program https://energyeconomics2018.events.unibz.it/program/.

The event consists of a mini course for PhD course on electricity markets given by Dr. Angelica Gianfreda; and presentations from international speakers, e.g. Hilde Bjornland, Yoosoon Chang, Warwick McKibbin and Rafal Weron.

It also includes a talk on Energy & Blockchain, an argument that is recently receiving large interest; and a final panel with market experts.
