Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to inform you of a company presentation and mock interviews we are holding at Pisa University for Maths, Physics and Geophysics students on 23^rd and 24^th May. This has been arranged with the assistance of Professor Alfredo Mazzotti.

The presentation aims to give students a brief overview of CGG and an insight into the role of a geophysicist. This will be presented by one of our graduates who will highlight the skills gained from a Maths, Physics and Geophysics degree that are transferable to the role. The mock interviews will then give the opportunity for students to express an interest in our graduate roles and gain constructive feedback on their interview technique from our team.

This event is all part of our initiative to promote our numerous graduate roles and make students aware of the opportunities available to them through a career in geophysics.

Due to continued growth, we are currently taking on 60-70 bright and enthusiastic graduates a year to join our Subsurface Imaging and R&D departments as a Graduate Geophysicist or Graduate Research Geophysicist. We take on individuals with a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) predominately from Physics, Maths and Geophysics degrees. However, as geophysics isn’t always an obvious career path for physicists and mathematicians, it is sometimes difficult promote our message around these departments.
