The position is embedded in the working group of Prof. Sebastian Andres and focuses on questions related to random walks and other stochastic processes in random environment and the associated partial differential differential equations describing the transition probabilities or heat kernels of such processes. The successful candidate will have a degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Mathematics or a subject requiring substantial mathematical expertise as well as very good knowledge of the German and English language, in particular the ability to teach courses in German, after an initial phase if required.
