Dear colleagues,
Here is the announcement for a combined PhD + lectureship position in the math department where I work at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam:
PhD-Junior Lecturer position
The department of Mathematics at the VU is advertising for a combined PhD - Junior Lecturer position in Mathematics. This is a position meant for a PhD student who also wants to acquire teaching experience and contribute to the educational program of the department as a junior lecturer. The position is for 6 years instead of the usual 4 for a “standard” PhD student.
The PhD position is not tied to a particular topic nor supervisor: the research can be in any area that falls within the expertise available in the department. You can find more information for this position at https://workingat.vu.nl/ad/phd-judo-in-mathematics/o44o25
The deadline for applications is April 19th.
The link above provides most of the information needed (salary, research-to-teaching ratio, benefits, etc.), but feel free to contact me for further details or if you may be interested to apply to work in the area of applied probability or reinforcement learning.
Best regards, Alessandro Zocca
