I have an open PhD position in my group at Université Laval (Quebec CIty, Canada) on the topic "Statistical learning methods for functional data".

Requirements and Conditions - Background in statistics, machine learning, data science, or similar - Programming experience (R, Python, Matlab or similar) - Advanced level of English - Intermediate level of French (or willingness to reach an intermediate level before the beginning of the PhD program)

Funding: at least 25 000 CAD/year for 4 years (including admission and success support scholarships from the Faculty, as well as supervisor scholarships). Additional funding is available from the Faculty (progression scholarships, funding for conference participation, scholarships for publications, etc.). This amount may be increased by scholarships obtained from external organizations (e.g. FRQ, NSERC, IID, CIRRELT) to which the student must apply.
