The Institute of Mathematics and Statistics at the *University of Sao Paulo*, seeks

candidates for one post-doctoral position through the National Programme for Post- Doctoral Scholarships (CAPES, Brazil). The scholarship is allocated to the

*S**tatistics **and Probability *Program

We look for candidates with strong and proven research record and potential. Possible interaction with the research groups of the Institute may be an advantage. Please see the research areas link https://www.ime.usp.br/en/research/lines/statistics. The scholarship consists of a monthly payment of 4100 Brazilian reals per month (tax-free money). The positions are initially for one year and may be renewed depending on progress.

The candidates are expected to send via e-mail the following documents:

•Curriculum Vitae with a list of publications. •Research project. •Letter from an advisor of the Graduate Program in Statistics of the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics - USP qualifying the relevance of the project and demonstrating interest in collaborating with the candidate in its execution. •Names and e-mail addresses of up to three researchers who can be contacted by the Graduate Program to send reference on the candidate.
