Carlo Acerbi, Executive Director a MSCI, presenterà un seminario su: Supply-Demand Symmetry Abstract How does the order book look like in a market where there's perfect balance between supply and demand? The question is less obvious than it sounds, and still awaits formalization. The problem admits a clear formalization based on analogies with change of numeraire techniques. We characterize and classify symmetrical models. Supply-Demand symmetry turns out to be something different from just bid-ask parity of the market cost functions, and the two concepts are shown to coincide only in very liquid regimes.
