Probab. 30(2): 826-873, 2002]. We cover the full range of compressibility ratios giving spontaneous stochasticity of particle trajectories. More specifically, we prove generic anomalous dissipation of the mean energy and fractional Sobolev regularity of solutions, for every square-integrable initial datum. The proof of the latter is obtained as a consequence of a new sharp regularity result for the degenerate parabolic PDE satisfied by the associated two-point self-correlation function, which is of independent interest.

Dear all, We are glad to inform you that ABS26, the next Applied Bayesian Statistics school, running since 2004, will be held in the city of Como (Italy), along the Lake Como shoreline at the beautiful Villa del Grumello, on July 6-10, 2026. The school is organised by CNR IMATI (Institute of Applied Mathematics and Information Technologies at the Italian National Research Council in Milano), in cooperation with Fondazione Alessandro Volta. The topic will be *Interpretable Bayesian Learning for Physical and Engineering Sciences.* The lecturer will be Prof. *Simon Mak *(Department of Statistical Science, Duke University), a leading expert in integrating domain knowledge (e.g., scientific theories, mechanistic models, guiding principles) as prior information for cost-efficient statistical inference, prediction, and decision-making., with the support of* Yen-Chun Liu* (Department of Statistical Science, Duke University), a brilliant PhD student of Prof. Mak, specializing in Bayesian optimization, Gaussian processes, and reinforcement learning. As in the past, there will be a combination of theoretical and practical sessions, along with presentations by participants on their work (past, present, and future) related to the school's topic. OUTLINE: This course investigates the rising topic of interpretable statistical learning, motivated by timely needs from modern scientific and engineering applications. For such applications, state-of-the-art machine learning methods often yield analyses that are uninterpretable to scientists, which greatly obfuscates scientific findings and decision-making. Interpretable Bayesian learning provides an elegant and effective solution by embedding scientific principles (e.g., boundary conditions, mechanistic equations) within its prior specification. In this course, we will cover a broad spectrum of interpretable Bayesian learning methods (with theory and algorithms), providing a cohesive roadmap for this recent and rapidly-evolving area of study. This will be complemented by practical case studies from ongoing projects in particle physics, mechanical engineering, and bioengineering. Emphasis will be made on novel directions for research in this promising area. Bernoulli percolation of parameter p on Z^d is defined by keeping each edge of Z^d with probability p, independently of the other edges. The exponential decay theorem - proven in 1987 by Menshikov and independently by Aizenman and Barsky - can be stated as follows: If the cardinality of the cluster of 0 is a.s. finite at some parameter p, then it has an exponential moment at every parameter q<p. I like to state this theorem this way because it illustrates the fact that "decreasing p infinitesimally has a regularising effect on the clusters". The goal of this talk is to discuss this theorem and to propose a new proof. Dear all, On Monday, January 19th, at 14h00 in Aula Dal Passo of Tor Vergata Math Department, RoMaDS (https://www.mat.uniroma2.it/~rds/events.php) will host Michele Stecconi (University of Luxembourg) with the seminar "Universal cancellations in Uniform Random Waves” Abstract: I will present the model of "Uniform Random Waves", obtained by dividing a Gaussian random wave by its L2-norm, on the sphere and other Riemannian manifolds. This choice has deep motivations, although the Gaussian case predominates in the existing literature. I will compare the analysis of these two classes of random fields, focusing on (Wiener) chaos decomposition of geometric functionals and on new surprising (Berry) cancellation phenomena that arise in the uniform setting. Based on the homonymous paper, with L. Gass, D. Marinucci, G. Peccati, F. Pistolato. We encourage in-person partecipation. It will be also streamed online here: https://meet.google.com/boc-aphg-bbk On behalf of the organisers, Elia Bisi ------------------- Abstract: Multitype branching processes model random trees whose vertices carry types, with each vertex producing offspring according to a type‑dependent multivariate distribution. In this talk, I will present a limit theorem describing the behavior of such processes in the noncritical regime. Specifically, we show that the relative frequencies of the different types in any finite realization converge to a deterministic vector, and that the distribution of the total progeny exhibits exponential decay. These results require only that all moments of the offspring distribution exist. The proof combines several analytic tools, including the Lagrange–Good and arborescent Lagrange inversion formulas, a measure‑tilting argument, and a local limit theorem. I will also discuss applications to models such as random graphs and multi‑component coagulation processes.
