Dear all,
together with Anne Savard and Laurent Clavier we are looking for a PhD student at IMT Lille Douai. The topic is in information theory*, *at the intersection between information engineering and mathematics. More specifically, we are going to look into efficient code design for finite-blocklength coordination from both a practical and theoretical perspective. As the first objective is more engineering-oriented, and the latter is basically large deviations and Neyman-Pearson theory, the main focus will also depend on the candidate’s background. More details in the proposal (attached).
The PhD is supposed to start in September/October 2021, and the application deadline is May 28th.
We would be grateful if you could forward this to potentially interested (master) students.
Best regards
Giulia Cervia
