Dar\`o degli esempi, presi da Rameau e da alcuni compositiori del 20-esimo secolo, in particolare esempi presi da Olivier Messiaen e Pierre Boulez. Fabio De Sanctis De Benedictis. Strutture formali e parametriche nella musica del secondo Novecento: alcuni esempi. La composizione musicale si e` sempre avvalsa di metodi di sviluppo della forma e del suono. Nella seconda meta' del Novecento questa caratteristica investe tutti i parametri musicali, prendendo spunto o utilizzando procedimenti propri della scienza e della matematica in particolare. In questo intervento si vogliono illustrare, in ambito compositivo, alcuni esempi relativi ad autori che piu' di altri si sono mossi in questa direzione. Attraverso compositori come Boulez, Xenakis, Stockhausen, Nono, Manzoni, Berio, Maderna, Ligeti e altri, si mostra come le serie numeriche, la probabilita' e la statistica, le matrici, i frattali, l'insiemistica, la matematica combinatoria, danno vita a opere musicali nel senso piu' pieno del termine. Moreno Andreatta. Introduzione alla formalizzazione algebrica delle strutture musicali A partire dalla seconda meta' del secolo scorso, l'approccio algebrico si imposto come uno dei paradigmi dominanti nella formalizzazione delle strutture musicali. Dopo una breve introduzione storica sull'emergenza dei metodi algebrici nella composizione musicale (da Ernst Krenek a Elliott Carter passando per Milton Babbitt, Iannis Xenakis e Anatol Vieru), offriremo un primo panorama sull'applicazione dell'algebra combinatoria (Lemma di Burnside e teoria dell'enumerazione di Polya) nello studio della classificazione delle strutture musicali (accordi, ritmi, serie dodecafoniche, profili melodico-ritmici, ...). Prenderemo poi in esame alcuni problemi teorici che costituiscono delle direzioni possibili nella ricerca "matemusicale" contemporanea, ove il neologismo esprime l'interesse matematico di un certo numero di problemi teorici la cui origine prettamente musicale. Ci soffermeremo, in particolare, su tre problemi che mostrano i rapporti complessi fra teoria della musica, analisi musicale e composizione: la costruzione di canoni ritmici a mosaico e i legami sorprendenti che queste strutture musicali hanno con alcune congetture tuttora irrisolte in matematica; il teorema dell'esacordo di Milton Babbitt e l'utilizzazione della trasformata di Fourier discreta in musica; l'analisi musicale trasformazionale di David Lewin e la formalizzazione del concetto di "isografia forte" nei reticoli di Henry Klumpenhouwer attraverso la teoria delle categorie). Concluderemo illustrando alcune ricerche in corso nell'Equipe Repre'sentations Musicales dell'Ircam sull'utilizzazione dei metodi algebrici nel campo dell'informatica applicata all'analisi musicale. Structures alge'briques des gammes diatoniques En ajoutant a' des conside'rations de syme'trie la notion de syste`me cyclique comme corre'lat de la notion d' e'chelle bien forme'e invente'e par D.Clampitt et N.Carey, on donne une de'finition des e'chelles diatoniques ge'ne'ralise'es pour des tempe'raments e'gaux Ã un nombre quelconque de degre's. Pour assurer une parfaite isomorphie entre ces diffe'rentes notions, on propose une rede'finition de l'arbre de Stern-Brocot, qui conduit au calcul des deux intervalles constitutifs des syste`mes bien forme's. On montre enfin comment de'finir un e'quivalent de la notion de gamme majeure, et on ge'ne'ralise le chromatisme diatonise' invente' par Ivan Wyschnegradsky au de'but des anne'es 1920. Presentazione delle attivita' di ricerca e d'insegnamento all'IRCAM (Istituto di Ricerca e Coordinazione Acustica/Musica) di Parigi La presentazione sara' divisa in due parti. Nella prima parte verranno presentate le linee di ricerca delle diverse e'quipes che lavorano all'Ircam con un'attenzione particolare sugli aspetti matematici e informatici (Rappresentazioni Musicali, Analisi e sintesi del suono, acustica delle sale, acustica strumentale e design sonoro). One type of vanishing is by the existence of a frame. The localization theory that arises from this has many applications. One of them is an analytic intersection theory on singular varieties. As another type of vanishing, we have that of Bott type, which leads to a residue theory of singular holomorphic foliations. In this talk, I try to explain the analytic intersection theory on singular varieties as above. Then I discuss residue theory on singular surfaces and, as an application, show the existence of a parabolic curve for a holomorphic self-map, tangent to the identity, of a complex surface with certain type of singularities, generalizing results of M. Abate (joint work with F.
