"Real and complex analytic structures"

Abstract

There are 2 different notions of complexifications of real analytic sets.

A third one will be added. Their pros and contras will be discussed.

Afterwards, complex-analytic sets contained in real analytic ones (in Cn) will be investigated and the structure of the complex analytic germs of positive dimension arising in this way will be described. As it will turn out, both inclusions can be best understood using a generalized notion of Segre varieties.
