Title: On some applications of the trace inequality for one-sided potentials in nonlinear integral equations and spectral theory of integral operators.

Abstract: The talk consists of two independent parts:

1. Necessary and sufficient conditions governing the existence of positive

solutions of certain nonlinear integral equations will be presented; 2) Two-sided estimates of the Schatten- von Neumann ideal norms for integral operators with positive kernels will be also discussed.
