Dong Han KIM (Korean Institute for Advanced Studies, Seoul) : The dynamical Borel-Cantelli lemma for interval maps

abstract: The dynamical Borel-Cantelli lemma for some interval maps are considered. For expanding maps with bounded derivatives any sequence of interval satisfies the dynamical Borel-Cantelli lemma . If a map has an indifferent fixed point then the dynamical orel-Cantelli lemma does not hold even in the case that the map has a finite absolutely continuous invariant measure and summable decay of correlations.

Kyewon Koh PARK (Korean Institute for Advanced Studies, Seoul) : Complexity of dynamical systems via subgroup actions and entropy dimension

abstract: SEMINARIO DI SISTEMI DINAMICI (olomorfi e dintorni):

To study the complexity of deterministic dynamical systems we introduce notions of directional entropy and entropy dimension as hisomorphism invariants. We investigate the properties of these notions and also the relations between them.
